For 2024, the CALA AWARDS, within the framework of the CleanTec Shows Americas congress, will award the most innovative product as a commitment to sustainability. At the same time, we highlight innovation, as a change that implies an improvement, which is essential in cleaning. The innovations that are regularly introduced in cleaning processes, products and techniques allow increasingly efficient work to be carried out.
The winner of the CALA AWARDS MOST INNOVATIVE PRODUCT LATIN AMERICA 2024 will be announced at the CleanTec Show Americas México, congress to be held in October 9 & 10, 2024 at the WTC, CDMX.
The CALA AWARDS was known in previous years as the LATAM CLEANTEC SHOW AMERICAS AWARD.

- The call is open throughout Latin America.
- An innovative product is understood as all products that are created or improved and which may use existing technologies and knowledge, but applied in a totally new way. Or use totally new knowledge and technologies. It may include significant functional improvements in existing products that have a positive impact on energy consumption reduction, waste management, reduction of single-use plastics, reduction of emissions. In addition to cost reduction.
- Each participating entity/company may compete with only one product.
- The materials sent to participate in the contest may be freely used by the organization for promotion and dissemination purposes.
- Three products will be chosen (one per category) and from there a winner will be selected and voted on.
Categories to apply:- Machinery category: Laundry, cleaning mechanization solutions.
- Service category: Services and consulting, personal protection.
- Chemical category: Chemicals, Cellulose, Pest control, Ecological, accessories.
Steps to apply:
To apply a product to the CALA AWARDS MOST INNOVATIVE PRODUCT 2024 Competition, the following steps must be followed:
Project applications may only be submitted through the web page www.cleantec.show- Record a video of maximum 3 minutes explaining and showing all the details of the product. The video must be uploaded to YouTube.
- Fill out the application form HERE in which you must add all the information requested, and a description as complete as possible of the project, with details such as years that the company has been developing the product and giving an answer to the following question: Does the implemented product allow you to reduce the environmental impact, increase the value of your services and significantly reduce all your costs? Take into account what is the main impact: Energy efficiency, reduction of energy consumption, waste management, reduction of single-use plastics, reduction of emissions.

- The deadline for company applications is May 12, 2024, until 5 p.m. (Mexico City time).
- Submission of the product for the Contest signifies acceptance of all parameters of the Contest.
The following criteria will be taken into account for the selection of finalists for the most innovative product:- Product launch date
- Sales (value and/or quantity of units sold of the product)
- Innovative product that focuses on environmental sustainability
- Number of quality certificates for the product
- Product created - Product improved

A jury of industry experts will review the products submitted, and choose 2 finalists.
The winner of the CALA AWARDS will be chosen from among the three finalists by virtual voting through the website www.cleantec.show.
