Nobus Comtec recently announced the launch of a smart suspension that has as its main objective to cover inert surfaces for long periods of time and that seeks to make an important difference in the technology of Antibacterial Hand Gels.

Bgrn technology, worked for more than 4 years by researchers at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico, consists of an intelligent suspension for application on inert solid surfaces, which generates a protective micro-film that inhibits viruses, bacteria and fungi at high speed (faster than chlorine or ammonium quaternaries), continuously and for long periods of time.

BGrn coats surfaces and provides protection against SARS-CoV-2 and any other viruses, bacteria or fungi for months.

The wide-ranging photocatalytic multi-nanotechnology with which the Bgrn Shield suspension is developed and its hyper-hydrophilic capacity give it the ability to absorb infectious vehicles immediately and destroy them with high efficiency.

After absorption, the nanoparticles inhibit and destroy the pathogen by altering its genetic material. The above, thanks to the formation by photocatalysis of radicals and varied chemical species highly effective for these purposes and that are generated at the nanometer scale without releasing ions or radicals in a massive way. Therefore, it is an extremely efficient technology, harmless to health and that generates antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Finally, when the aqueous vehicle evaporates, the microfilm, formed by an intelligent polymer mesh, self-assembles, covering those small areas in which it interacted with the secretions or droplets in which the pathogen traveled.

The result of this process is a coated and protected surface that helps to avoid contagion by contact of surfaces in a forceful way.

In March Nobus Comtec announced the launch of BGrn 24. Product that is already in the Mexican market and allows to discontinue the use of the well-known antibacterial gel. With this, this technology that ensures continuous disinfection of surfaces is now available for application on the hands and allows a single application a day to keep the hands protected from pathogens without the need to wash them or use aggressive products such as 60% alcohol.
