Kimberly-Clark Professional introduced a customer-focused innovation, Onvation® SmartFit™ technology, which consists of a small, internet-connected sensor that is installed in paper towel and toilet paper dispensers to provide real-time data that helps commercial facility managers schedule cleaning staff more efficiently and reduce waste.

Onvation was already known in the industry as a smart washroom management system that included SCOTT® towels and toilet paper and PURELL® hand soap. Now, SmartFit™ compact technology expands this capability to include a wider range of dispensers, including Kimberly-Clark Professional's ICON® and SCOTT PRO® dispenser collections, as well as select universal dispensers.

The easy-to-install sensor monitors paper product levels and traffic in restrooms, providing data-driven predictive insights that take the guesswork out of restroom maintenance. The sensors use time-of-flight technology to measure product levels in real time, are flexible for use in a variety of dispensers, and have a two-year battery life. With advanced analytics and an intuitive interface, Onvation works with a mobile app to let facility staff know where they are needed most to ensure that all restrooms are kept clean, stocked and running smoothly.
