Panama. The Authority for Consumer Protection and Defense of Competition of Panama, Acodeco, is conducting a supervision of the soaps that are in the market and are aimed at the segment known as dishwasher or scrubbing.
Specifically, the Panamanian authority is supervising 31 brands of this line of cleaning products. Through a technical analysis, which is carried out in the Metrology Laboratory of Acodeco, and seeks to verify that the amount of content advertised or declared on the labeling of each of these products, are correct.
For this supervision process, the Metrology Department of Acodeco made an inventory of 220 presentations of liquid, powder and semi-solid soaps, which are sold in different supermarkets in the capital city.
With this process, the entity seeks to determine that these products comply with the minimum tolerances allowed by the DGNTI-COPANIT Technical Regulation 3-421-98, Metrology. Net Content of Prepackaged Products.
