Colombia. During the Carnival of Barranquilla, which took place in this Colombian city from February 18 to 21, the cleaning company Triple A collected 151 tons of waste including plastic, icopor, glass, cardboard, food waste and other waste.
For the Cleaning Manager of Triple A, Zandra Mantilla, it is a great cleaning operation to keep the city and the municipalities where the service is provided clean: "There are more than 1,000 workers including manual sweeping operators, collection operators, drivers, supervisors and coordinators who carry out management, especially in the night shift, between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., so that the streets dawn impeccable after the festivities."
Likewise, Mantilla highlighted the good behavior of Barranquilleros and visitors during the festivities that made use of the almost 5,000 garbage baskets that are installed in the city, in the places where events were held.
"For next year's Carnival we hope that users continue to respect the schedules and frequencies of the public cleaning service of each sector, use public baskets and plastic containers for the disposal of waste generated during the celebration of pre-Carnival and Carnival events," concluded the Triple A Cleaning Manager.
