Colombia. The company of Aseo de Pereira is working hand in hand with the Higher Technical Institute, to train students who will provide their social service with the entity.

The objective is that they are prepared to inform the communities of the different activities and projects of the Pereira Cleaning Company. Therefore, they learned about the importance of separating waste both in their homes and at school, in addition to knowing how the La Glorita landfill works, to which between 850 and 900 tons of waste arrive daily at the La Glorita landfill.

They also learned about the cleaning days of the city's parks that are carried out with the treated water of the leachate in the landfill, in order to save on the use of water. Color coding is another of the fundamental topics that students are taught so that they are updated in terms of colors for the separation of waste: white, black and green.

Among the curious facts that socialized in the training is the dimension of a glass of the La Glorita landfill, which is 700 thousand square meters.
