IMCD, distributor of chemical products and specialized ingredients, announces the appointment of Pilar Castellanos Pineda as General Director of IMCD Colombia. With 30 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur in the chemical distribution industry, Pilar assumes the leading position in Colombia and will be responsible for continuing the growth trajectory of both IMCD Colombia and Siliconas y Químicos, an IMCD company.

Pilar is a chemical engineer and joins IMCD through the recent acquisition of Siliconas y Químicos, a company she co-founded in 2000. Based in Bogotá, his business trajectory is driven by passion and dedication to building long-term relationships, based on principles of collaboration and finding solutions for both supplier partners and customers. Following Pilar's appointment, her predecessor, Oscar Clavijo, will begin his transition to retirement.

Pilar earned a master's degree in management and strategic leadership from CEU San Pablo University, and is a chemical engineering degree from Universidad América, with a specialization in international business administration from Sergio Arboleda University.
