Colombia. Sunny App is a Colombian company that has more than 5 years of experience in the development of photovoltaic solar projects, and recently presented its latest novelty: a cleaning robot for solar panels.
This meeting held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in the city of Bogotá was attended by the highest representatives of the country's energy sector and aimed to make them aware of the technological development that is being made for the industry at the national level and the world.
This meeting was developed in two phases: first an exhibition of each of the prototypes developed by SunnyApp: the SunnyCleanBot V1.0 and V2.0, which are robotic devices for cleaning solar panels, with which pilot tests have already been carried out in different cities of the country. The SunnyGrassBot a device for the maintenance of solar plants that can prune about 3 hectares per day and the launch of the prototype of the spray robot that is under development and is currently funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
"SunnyApp has the purpose of massifying solar energy in Colombia and the world, which is why, in addition to promoting the installation of photovoltaic solar systems (SSFV), we wanted to impact the entire chain and participate in their maintenance," says Camilo Rojas, CEO of SunnyApp.
Julian Berrío, COO of SunnyApp affirms that they have been years of in-depth analysis in different markets of the world, which would serve as an input for the construction of a pilot project that will meet the needs of the sector, not only in the reduction of costs but in the improvement of the percentage of generation of the SSFV.
SunnyApp will continue to work to contribute to the country's energy transition, so it recently participated in two international dives: The first to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and the second to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Israel; two world powers when it comes to research, development and innovation.
